• Expect to take Finasteride for three months before seeing any noticeable changes. You must continue to use Propecia in order to continue seeing improvements.
• Propecia is not indicated for use by women. Do not take or handle this medication if you are pregnant or are could become pregnant during treatment. Finasteride is in the FDA pregnancy category X. This means that it is known to cause birth defects in an unborn baby.
• The tablets are coated to prevent contact with the active ingredient, but women who are pregnant with a boy and who absorb any of the active ingredients through their skin or mouth are at risk to deliver a baby with abnormal genitals. If a pregnant woman is exposed to Propecia, talk to your doctor.
