- Do not take this medicine (Levitra - Vardenafil) if you are also taking or using any form of nitroglycerin, other nitrates such as isosorbide, nitroprusside or any "nitric oxide donor" medicine (Levitra - Vardenafil), or recreational drugs called "poppers" containing amyl or butyl nitrate because very serious interactions may occur. If you are not sure whether a certain medicine (Levitra - Vardenafil) is a nitrate, contact your doctor or pharmacist before taking this medicine (Levitra - Vardenafil).
- Alpha-blockers (eg, prazosin), delavirdine, HIV protease inhibitors (eg, ritonavir), imidazoles (eg, itraconazole), ketolides (eg, telithromycin), macrolides (erythromycin), or quinolones (eg, moxifloxacin) because the risk of side effects, such as low blood pressure, a prolonged erection, or irregular heartbeat, may be increased.

How should I take vardenafil?
- Take 1 LEVITRA tablet about 1 hour (60 minutes) before sexual activity. Some form of sexual stimulation is needed for an erection to happen with LEVITRA. LEVITRA may be taken with or without meals. Do not change your dose of LEVITRA without talking to your doctor.
- Take Vardenafil by mouth about 1 hour before sexual activity, but do not take Vardenafil more often than once daily as needed.
